How to use
Add a photo to see it listed right away and the AI cutout starts automatically (a few seconds). Once it's done, use the sliders and toggles below the preview to fine-tune the result - clean up near-white leftovers, adjust contrast, swap in a green screen background, or erase small leftover bits by hand - all live, then click Save to download the current result as a PNG.
FAQ
How does this decide what's background vs subject?
An AI segmentation model (U2-Net) analyzes the image and separates the main subject from everything else - no manual selection needed to start.
What if the result isn't perfect?
Low-contrast backgrounds, busy patterns, or fine detail like hair and fur are harder to segment cleanly. Use the sensitivity slider, contrast slider, or the eraser to clean up what's left, all previewed live before you save.
What does the eraser do?
Turn it on, then click or drag on the preview to remove small leftover bits by hand, with an adjustable brush radius in pixels. It works on top of every other setting and updates the saved file instantly.
What's the green screen option for?
It previews the cutout against solid chroma-key green instead of a transparent checkerboard, so you can see how it'll look against a real green screen. It's preview-only - the file you save still has a real transparent background, not green.
Why does it always return a PNG?
PNG is the common format that supports transparency, which is the whole point of removing a background - a JPEG can't keep the background clear.
